5:37PM - Life in Pidgeon's world

a) its really hard waiting for a certain girl to email. I'm antsy and want to play.

b) I love this weather. Wet, windy, and warm.

c) Spending the afternoon with my sister and the kids was really fun even though we only went grocery shopping. I think I would be friends with my sister even if we weren't related.

d) The press release is out. That means word is finally out. The Von Foxies are dissolving. That's a good thing. Hello solo career.

e) I'm glad I'm a homo.

f) I'm glad I have amazing homo friends all over the country.

g) I'm glad I get to hang out with my amazing homo friends next weekend in Tucson, next month in Oakland, and December in Portland. And maybe New York in February or March.

She is excited to be making an appearance in Seattle, where she used to live and perform. Her main focus these days is working with other San Francisco bay area queer performers to produce shows and performances that center around awesome dancing, glitter and social justice. You can find out more about her at http://www.myspace.com/kentuckyfriedwoman

Lolita "Tata's" Valentino has a nack for sass and a nitch for kitch. Currently residing in Seattle and performing regularly at the Jewel Box Theater, The Wildrose, Columbia City Theater, and weekly with Sinner Saint Burlesque at the Noc Noc. "Tatas" baths in glitter and rhinestones and sleeps in a bed of fur and sequins. This Black Irish coquette takes to a tongue-and-cheek style of burlesque that involves comedy, gender-bending, parody, wit, and of course, a kiss of vintage touch.

Sahara Dunes comes from the City of Roses by way of all things beautiful, the West Indies. She has been shaking and teasing along the West Coast for years and is happy to be back in the Emerald City. She has been a citywide name in Portland and will be making her way to New Jersey for the Coney Island Rockabilly Festival. For more information please visit saharadunes.net

Sandi Strehlau is a squishy Femme poet who cooks up some yummy smut cake.

Pidgeon Von Tramp is a Seattle based performer and producer trying to change the world one sequin, rhinestone, or story at a time.

8:15PM - Have you heard?

Who won the Best Troupe title for the Miss Exotic World Pageant?

The Von Foxies!

I'm in serious glitter shock and let down right now. My kids just don't seem to understand how famous I am. Can you believe I actually had to change diapers today? Whats a diva to do?

I think, that I don't update my livejournal, or my paper journal for that matter, often is that I have so much to say and get overwhelmed. I'm overwhelmed now because I have so much to say about New Orleans and don't know where to start. I've been trying to write about being there and coming up short. So, maybe this is where I start.

If all else fails write a false haiku.

I sing down Decatuer
This city, like love
Complicated

What I want to remember:

Mona Lisa Saloy
My first glimpse
Learning of the X
Lobby
Air
Balcony
See Jesus, turn right
My solo Breakfast
Jan and Dominic on the bus
Backstage at the Tarantula
Food
Cats
Advice guys

Whoa. Stopping there for now. Overwhelmed.

1:59PM - Calling all Pisces!

Sit up straight.

What kind of horoscope is this? Give me a break.

This week you may have a minor health issue concerning your bone structure, and the way you sit, walk and stand may be part of your problem. You may want to consider starting an exercise program, learning balance training, or taking vitamin supplements. Thursday you may have spiritual questions and decide to make some changes in your religious life. You may come to the realization that the religion you were brought up in no longer serves your needs, and you might want to explore other spiritual belief systems. Sunday, be careful when you drive and watch who you associate with.

7:19PM

It would appear that I no longer know what to do with spare time. My plans for tonight were canceled due to illness and now I'm sitting in my room trying to get the cat to play with me. I have tons to do but none of it was planned to happen during this time frame. Why am I so weird with this? So, P, you may finally get that update. I found a roll of film in my glove box yesterday,by the way, and got it developed today and there are some damn cute pictures of your kids from last summer at a BBQ. I'll bring them around.

Life is very good right now. Way busy, but good. I was laying in bed last week with someone I like very much and was just about to doze off and my mind wandered around to my Intentions. My "Intentions" as I labeled them are a list of things I would like for my life. I wrote them about two years ago and revisit them every few months. They are not really goals, just things to move towards. For example, one of them was to live in a more creatively challenging environment. A few months later a room opened up at the GCC and with very little thought into the matter I moved in. Another was to work fewer hours but still maintain the same quality of living I had grown accustom to. This one required some adjustments and work but I'm now there. The cheaper rent and shorter commute I got when I moved helped me be able to pull this off. Anyway- you get the point. I was laying in bed and thinking of my Intentions and realized I had them all. Maybe not in the exact way I in visioned them, but I had them. My life is exactly where I want it to be.

3:41PM - I've been nudged...

And I promise I'm not ignoring it P. I'll give a good update as soon as the weddings over. Oh, wait. Then there is the auction and showcase to get through. And a million other things I could list. I'll make time. I swear. Soon.

8:57PM

My heart hurts today. Jess got her test results back and the baby has an almost full set of extra chromosomes. Hes not going to make it, even if she carries him to term. Shes holding up as well as can be expected. We spend a long time tonight at the thrift store reading childrens books and looking at baby clothes.
And I'm really upset with myself because I was afraid to hug her and I don't know why.

7:42PM - unidentified rodent

As per the norm in my family, Easter was bizarre. Last night my mom, her boyfriend, and I were standing in the kitchen telling strip club stories when this little brown fuzzy creature meanders across the floor. The cat, who had been rubbing up against my leg, looks at it and yawns. My mother, who is squealing, shoves a glass measuring cup at Sig (her boyfriend formally known as the Canadian) and tells him to catch it. He bents over and places the cup over the animal. Then we all just stand there a moment and watch it as it calmly starts licking all the butter off the inside of the cup. The cat flops over and stretches. Sig and I decide to take it into the back yard and set him free. At this point I'm convinced hes someones pet. Sig is not. He is not a hamster or a gerbil so who knows. Hes also not a mouse. So we take him out back and dump him out of the cup onto the grass. He picks a blade and starts nibbling. Then jumps onto Sigs arm and sits there eating. So, now I have a new pet. He would have never survived in the wild. I hope to figure out exactly what it is. A vole maybe? Utie- would you know? Holly named him Milford Pickle. If he wasn't someones escaped pet we decided he must have been sampling plants out of the special greenhouse...

The Von Foxies are Seattle's hottest burlesque power-trio: Pidgeon Von Tramp, Heidi Von Haught and Elsa Von Schmaltz. They have honed their skills under the bright lights of the Emerald City stages and have been taking their little town by storm since November of '04. These kinky minxes enjoy playing with the boundaries of sexuality, gender and decency while engaging in their distinctive brand of bait 'n switch bump 'n grind. They adore burlesque in all its forms- traditional bombshell beauty, queer gender-f*ck draglesque, hilariously naughty satire and politically powerful theatre.

4:47PM - Ball chasing.

I forgot how good it feels to push yourself to total physical exhaustion. Why did I wait so long to find another soccer team? I've missed that burn in my lungs. And my cheeks are sunburned a little. What a great day.

9:29PM - What I figured out.

I've been observing people lately. Well, I've always done it. Not just lately. But the point is, lately when I've been observing people I've noticed that the ones with really good memories are the ones who are also really good listeners. The people who can't remember things just never listened or payed attention to those things in the first place. Sure, this seems really elementary but it was quite an epiphany for me. Plus, it made me feel good because it proves I'm not creepy because I can remember what you were wearing the first time we met.
